THE PERSIAN LAYER IN UZBEK LITERARY TEXTS: A LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF THE NOVEL “SCORPION FROM THE ALTAR”
Abstract
The language of Abdulla Qodiriy’s works, as a key representative of the fifth school of world novel-writing, serves as an important source for understanding the historical context of the period, the characters’ personalities, and the lexical layers of the Uzbek language. The analysis of Persian lexemes in the novel “The Scorpion from the Altar” provides a foundation for comprehensive reflections on the socio-cultural environment of 19th-century Zulnisayn.
